Science geeks everywhere were elated as The Big Bang Theory premiered its first episode on CBS on September 24, 2007. It was a show that focused around a group of socially awkward nerds and during that time there was nothing on TV like it. That was the change that television needed. It gave geeks and non-geeks alike a show that they could both fall in love with and still relate to.
The Big Bang Theory has made fans laugh and cry throughout the 10 seasons it has been aired. The characters have grown into more mature and more serious versions of themselves. Now on the 11th season, the series still manages to be one of the most loved shows in the country. In fact, last year it was the highest-rated comedy series on TV.
Here are how the big bang actors look in real life.
1. John Galecki as Leonard Hofstadter
Leonard was first introduced to us in season 1, as an experimental physicist and roommate/best friend of Sheldon Cooper. While Leonard loves his best friend, he often gets easily annoyed by his eccentric personality. Leonard, like his friends, is a genius and received his doctorate from Princeton University when he was only 24 years old. After falling for girl next door and aspiring actress Penny, the two have an on and off again relationship that eventually ends in them getting married in season 9.
Real Life:- Although John was acting before the pilot, TBBT is what really made his career take off. He has won several awards for his performance including an Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series. John has been in a few movies and TV shows recently, but none have been as successful as his current role as Leonard. Since the 8th season, John adjusted his TBBT salary from $350,000 to $900,000 per episode.
