Female hip hop sensation Cardi B real name Belcalis Almanzar has been in the news for all the reasons you can think off lately; both wrong and right. With a name sounding like a wizard straight of a Harry Potter series or better still the Lord of the Rings Trilogy, it is hard for the Bacardi Lady not to be in the news at all. The 25-year-old Bronx Rap Queen has long come a long way from being a stripper to being the undisputed queen of the US Billboard 100. Having been nominated for Grammy since her debut ‘Bodak Yellow’ hit the airwaves, Cardi B started being noticed in the media with her Instagram and Snapchat posts describing frank and down to earth reality of life as a stripper. Things skyrocketed after that as she appeared on VH1’s reality show Love and Hip Hop: New York in 2015 and stayed on for the next two years. Lady Bacardi, so named after the rum by her parents decided to quit the show in 2017 to focus on a music career that has made her skyrocket to the top of A-list artist and celebrity listings. Even as she secretly got married to Migos group member Offset in September of 2017, her single ‘Bodak Yellow’ was followed by a debut album in April of 2018.
