Halloween dates back to the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain, usually celebrated on the eve of the Celt’s new year which is the first day in November. The Celts would make bonfires and wear costumes to chase ghosts.
The festival was incorporated into Catholicism at some point when Pope Gregory III designated November 1 as a day to honor saints. The All Saints Day had some touch of Samhain festival in it.
Today, regardless of who a person is, they can celebrate Halloween if they want. Most people do it for the love of the carved pumpkins and the amazing costumes. Halloween 2018 is around the corner and we’re pleased to give you some juicy gist about the past celebrations. Who knows, it might inspire your own costume this year and years to come.
Most Hollywood celebrities celebrate Halloween, and when they do, they do it in style. Our focus would be placed on the Kardashians and Jenners. These sisters are regarded as the Queens of Halloween; year after year, back to back! One costume is never enough for a Kardashian/Jenner sister. They rock two to three costumes and they are always topnotch.
Kim in The 20s
It’s going to be exactly a decade on October 31, 2018, since Kim Kardashian sported a vintage costume on one Halloween night. Kim K wanted something from the oldies, she went as far back as the 1920’s. That far fam!
The reality star effortlessly stunned in her all black outfit which she matched with pearly white accessories. Kim wore a fishnet stocking beneath her sequin fringe mini dress and topped her wavy hairstyle with a small hat. Her all red makeup and nails made the 20s look all perfect. Kim was said to have attended the Halloween party with her then boyfriend, Reggie Bush, who showed up as a mob boss.
The Kardashian Superwoman
At some point that same night (Halloween 2008), the fashion mogul stepped out in an entirely different style. Kim K would not cease to amaze us all. Her transition from a 1920’s era flapper to a Superwoman was epic. The TV personality revealed her curves in the body hugging superhero body suit. She made history and started a trend right there. Most people would just stick to one costume and that’s all for the night but Kim K showed everyone that Halloween can be more fun.
