Most celebrities earn a lot more from endorsements and personal investments than from their major day-to-day job. While some may be frugal, choosing to save, others are a little careless in their spendings and others choose to invest their money so as to favor them in the long run. But what do you do when you have, say $20 million to spare? Simple… buy houses. It is a known fact that land properties always appreciate and some of these celebrities have successfully taken advantage of this fact. Some may buy the houses for glamour, others have become successful flippers and are becoming real estate tycoons. Here are some celebrities who have taken advantage of the housing markets and now own real estate empires
1. Ashton Kutcher
Ashton Kutcher, one of the world’s highest-paid TV actors, can obviously afford almost anything he wants, and he doesn't waste time investing millions of dollars into purchasing real estates. According to undisclosed sourced, the actor and his wife own at least three different estates. Kutcher's first major purchase - his first home - was just as daunting for the star as it is for anyone else. In fact, he called it the scariest financial decision he's ever made. He acquired a 5-bedroom Hollywood Hills mansion which he had been renting for $50,000 a month for $3.64 million. Today, he and his wife, actress Mila Kunis, live in a gated community in Beverly Hills, California. They bought their 7,350-square-foot property for $10 million in 2014 and welcomed their first child, Wyatt, into the home later that year.
