With public events, interviews, and a whole lot of other public appearances looks matter a lot to celebrities. So much in fact that most have resorted to dieting and exercises. While these are normal for good health, some have taken it to extreme levels. So it's out of the norm to see an overweight celebrity (although it's becoming quite common these days). But like all humans, celebrities do have their rough patches. Eating disorders have been a significant cause of concern for some stars not just because of looks but also the health implications. The most common eating disorders are bulimia nervosa (overeating) and anorexia nervosa (eating too little). Although these can affect anybody, these celebrities have proven that it can be beaten.
Demi Lovato’s disorders and addictions are no secrets to the public. For years, Demi Lovato has been in a fight to overcome bulimia. The singer revealed all about her struggles with eating disorders in her YouTube documentary Simply Complicated. The singer revealed that her issues with eating started at her childhood, noting that she first began excessive consumption when she was eight after her little sister was born and she felt like less attention was on her. She went into rehab in 2010 for bulimia, drugs and self-harming and stayed sober successfully for six years. But following her breakup with longtime boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama in 2016, the singer went into relapse again. The star was able to pick up herself for the second time and produce her best album till date
