Most weddings do not garner the same publicity as royal weddings. With the royal family often in public eyes, royal weddings seem to receive a lot of hype and rightly so. It's an undeniable fact that while we look forward to the wedding in general, the wedding dresses are always the major highlights, and of course, the brides almost never disappoint. Meticulous planning and detail go into making custom-designed wedding dresses that often leave the audience in awe. But make no mistake, despite the prices of these iconic dresses, they are still highly sought after. From Meghan Markle's Givenchy dress to the Ayako Moriya's red cloak, here are the most iconic royal wedding dresses of recent times.
Meghan Markle was an actress before her wedding to Prince Harry in May 2018. The British royal weddings received so much hype on the couple's engagement announcement in 2017. The current Duchess of Sussex wore the traditional white gown (as with all British royal weddings). Meghan's wedding dress was the famous ‘Givenchy’ dress designed by Clare Waight Keller. The unique dress was designed over the course of five months and featured only six seams without lace or any other embellishments, it also had a 5 meters long and 3-meter wide veil which had hand-embroidered flowers on its hem.
