Music has evolved over the years. Band groups have become more common but most notable has been their ability to re-revolutionize a particular genre of music From 1970s Boney M and Jackson 5 to early 2000s hit groups ‘Westlife,’’NSYNC,’ and ‘Backstreet Boys’ to the more recently a-cappella group Pentatonix, music bands have been big-time music favorites of almost every era. While most are just simply adorable, what we find more adorable are siblings performing together in the same band. Musical talent has been often thought of to be genetic because most musicians had parents who were involved in the art. But having a family where members of the same generation are major music stars is not something that always happens. While boy bands are more popular here are ten sisters who have managed the feat of not just being musicians but performing in the same music band
Alana, Danielle, and Este Haim
Los Angeles pop-rock band, ‘Haim,’ was created in 2007 and consists of just three sisters - Alana, Danielle, and Este. Although the band was formed in 2007, they didn't officially kick off as professionals until signing for Jay Z’s ‘Roc Nation’ in 2012. Danielle and Este had previously been part of another band, ‘Valli Girls,’ in 2005 but left shortly after appearing at the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards in 2005. They formed ‘Haim’ in 2007 ,the group's motivation to pursue music came through inspiration from Danielle's successful touring as a guitarist with Jenny Lewis and Jenny Casablanca. The band uses a three-part vocal harmony with each member specializing in one instrument for live performances although they are all proficient in more than one instrument.
