On Wednesday, Ariana Grande was on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and she fell down during her singing of Thank U, Next. It was the first performance of her new breakup anthem channeling the hit 1996 film First Wives Club for her all-white girl group ensembles with pals, Tayla Parx and Victoria Monet.
The scene was like a wedding reception, and the girls in white were dancing around the stage. However, something unplanned happened next - Ariana got on a chair, and then fell from it. The singer just exclaimed Oh my god!
Her performance was a tribute to all the men in her life, including her former fiance, Pete Davidson, the late Mac Miller, Big Sean, and Ricky Alvarez. She is very grateful to them for that thanks to them she has become the woman she is now.
Grande was especially emotional and burst into tears during a verse for her parents.
One day I’ll walk down the aisle. Holding hands with my mama, - she sang, through tears. - I’ll be thanking my dad. ‘Cause she grew from the drama.
At that moment, Ariana could not hold back her tears, remembering the story of her parents.
We want to remind you that when Arians turned 8 years old, her parents broke up. But the girl has kept a warm relationship and supports both her mother and her father. After all, they made every effort so that the girl, who had shown her acting and vocal abilities in the first years of her life, achieved success.
After that the singer went to the stairs from the studio. DeGeneres joked about Grande leaving but Ariana thought that was the end of her performance on the show.
We were supposed to come down? - Grande asked.
Yeah, you left me! - DeGeneres quipped.
I thought we were supposed to exit! - the singer noted.
