On the night of November 11-12, the People's Choice Awards ceremony was held, during which the best films, series and actors of the year were determined. In addition, music awards were given.
The Avengers: War of Infinity was voted the best movie of 2018. The movie created by Marvel Studios had to fight with another movie about the Universe - Black Panther, Incredibles 2, A Quiet Place and, suddenly, Fifty Shades of Freedom.

1. Stars recognized California firefighters, victims of the blaze
Ceremony participants thanked firefighters for their great work in less than 40 miles away from the tented Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California. Mila Kunis, who received the first award during the ceremony, seized the moment and urged people to donate to the LAFD Foundation.
Kim Kardashian, who got a reality TV prize on behalf of the Kardashian-Jenner family, gave a very emotional speech in connection with this tragedy, and said that the whole country appreciates the work of firefighters, they are real heroes.
2. Veterans Day was remembered
The People's Choice Awards was on Veterans Day and celebrities did not forget to say several words due to the holiday. Blake Shelton put a red, white and blue ribbon to his suit in honor of his veteran father and expressed gratitude to all the people who were in the war.
Scarlett Johansson thanked all men and women of the armed forces that today people live in freedom and peace.
In his speech, Bryan Stevenson was talking about mass shootings, the #MeToo movement and racial inequality.
3. Victoria Beckham gave fans a Spice Girls reference during Fashion Icon Award speech
Victoria was speaking about the strength of women, and the fact that she was always surrounded by very strong and intelligent women. She said that all women need to believe in themselves and not to doubt their success. To the delight of all fans of the Spice Girls group, she accidentally slipped into the refrain from the Spice Girls hit song "Wannabe.

4. The list of nominees was too ambitious for the live telecast
Only 22 awards were given out during the red carpet and the live telecast of the 46 awards on the lineup for the night.
5. Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani had a #couplegoals moment
Shelton and Stefani are one of the favorite couples of The People's Choice Awards fans. So, everybody was expecting something interesting from them. The current coach on "The Voice" invited the former coach – and his girlfriend – up on stage during his acceptance speech with Daly for competition TV show.
