Having children is a choice – that’s what some married couples (and even a few individuals) have made us understand. Some people do not share the general enthusiasm and love that comes with the idea of having children and as such, do not want to have a taste of parenthood and all that comes with it. While a few simply do not just like children, some feel they would make a poor parents so they’d rather spare the kids. The remaining lot stated their reasons as not wanting to divide their attention between their career and their offspring.

Whatever these reasons are, having children or not is an individual choice and a few of our celebrity crushes have made a decision not to have any.

However, wanting kids doesn’t necessarily make you qualified to have one. Some people do want children but for one reason or the other, are denied the privilege. Of course, there are some celebrities with fertility struggles.

So, here we have a blend of celebrities with two contrasting interests. A mix of two classes; those who want kids but can’t have and those who simply do not want children.

Stevie Nicks is a singer and songwriter well known and accoladed for the contributions she’s made to the music industry. She is a woman of vision who has really accomplished a great deal as a musician. However, she feels her many successes would have been cut short had children come into the picture. Those little creatures would have dimmed her light and creative reasoning, Nicks thinks. She spoke about her lack of desire to have children with InStyle in 2002 saying, “It’s like, ‘do you want to be an artist and a writer or, a wife and a lover?’ With kids, your focus changes. I don’t want to go to PTA meetings.”

Nicks went further: “Most women would not be happy being me. People say, ‘but you’re alone’. But I don’t feel alone. I feel very un-alone. I feel very sparkly and excited about everything. I know women who are going, like, ‘I don’t want to grow old alone’. And I’m like, ‘See, that doesn’t scare me’. Because I’ll never be alone. I’ll always be surrounded by people.”
