1. Airplane Mysterious Disappearance
Irving Rivers’ Eastern Caribbean Airways plane mysteriously vanished from the radar on November 3, 1978, just seconds after controllers at the airport in Saint Thomas cleared it for landing.
Surprisingly, the airplane was less than two miles from the airport. Search rescues have never found the plane.
