Mr. Trump's first year as the president of the US had its shambles, but it also had a number of successes.
Having received so many criticisms, Trump has gone a long way to prove haters wrong. The tax-cut bill approved by Congress days before Christmas was sweeping in scope and a major victory for a White House that hopes to build on it in Trump's second year in office.
Let's take a look at Trump's accomplishments the past year.
1.) The tax-cut bill
Trump's first major legislative victory was the passage of the Republicans' tax-cut bill, which cuts the corporate tax rate from 35 to 21 percent.
This legislation also eliminated ObamaCare's mandate that individuals buy insurance or pay a fine.
"We eliminated an especially cruel tax that fell mostly on Americans making less than $50,000 a year — forcing them to pay tremendous penalties simply because they could not afford government-ordered health plans," he said.
