As a parent or mom, it is your responsibility to keep your toddler safe when in and out of the home. This is a full-time job where you will have to be closely tuned to the needs of your child. Often times you should instill the firm hand and teach them that it doesn’t have to go their way every time. Most of the times you are teaching your child the meaning of sacrificing, manners and letting go when they should. Sometimes, however, giving your toddler space and allowing them to do things when they are comfortable and ready is important.
However, the discipline still has to be instilled and boundaries have to be set in place. For example, you can't let them watch cartoons the whole day, eat ice cream for breakfast and lunch or play with water in a basin for a long time just because they want to.
