Bonding is the deep attachment between a parent and a baby. It's a feeling that makes a parent want to shower that little angel with a deep love that even when the baby wakes up at night to feed, it takes a parent seconds to attend to him. It's what makes a parent protect the baby from all the dangers and protect him at all costs.
For some parents bonding starts immediately after the baby is born, some after a few hours and for some, it might even take days. But don't worry if your baby is here and you happen not to feel that bond. It is not unusual when that happens and this is because parenting may be overwhelming and so exhaustion comes in. For some moms, they may be going through a period of baby blues. So don't be hard on yourself, provided you are giving your baby her basic needs then she feels very secure.
Here are some useful ways in which parents can bond with their babies:-
Breastfeeding brings both you and the baby closer to each other. The skin to skin contact makes both of you feel each other’s heartbeat. Your baby will even master your scent and she'll prefer it more than any smell.
