Jaime Lannister is one of the most controversial casts of Game of Thrones for specific reasons and for these same reasons people have concluded that he went from being a respected night to being the King Slayer. Ever since he has been a smooth experience for fans to learn off, here are some things about him that you should know.
The Weird Twin Bond
Jaime is The Eldest And the first son of the Lannister clan even though he is Cersei’s twin.
Cersei and Jaime are twins, and somehow they only have eyes for each other, their twin bond was on another level.
Well, until he lost his right hand, he used to be the greatest swordsman of Westeros. He was a violent and proud knight, who always felt on top of the world.
He Is Gorgeous But Dangerous
Apart from all the hotness in one package, Jaime Lannister has lovely blonde hair and green eyes and if we can all recall this was what Jon Snow noticed during their first meet.
“Ser Jaime Lannister was a twin to Queen Cersei; tall and golden, with flashing green eyes and a smile that cut like a knife...”
In the first season, Jaime was reportedly 32 years, but by the fourth season he was 40, how that happened, is unknown to fans. However, in their defense, their time might be different from ours.
Also, Jaime And Cersei are supposed to be seven years older than their brother Tyrion, but in real life, he is older than both parties.
He Is The King Slayer
Even though the great Ser Arthur Dayne knighted him at the age of 15 after he defeated the mad Summer Knight, and found his way into the Kingsguard.
Despite all this, Jaime still killed king Targaryen, whom he was sworn to protect all his life.
Losing His Hand Made Him Wise
Losing one of your most important assets can make any man humble, and circumstances did humble Lannister for good. Losing his right hand made him become so reserved that he freed himself from Cersei’s endless control.
He Respected Brienne
Before his endless suffering and the loss of his hand, Jaime was the only one who saw Brienne as an equal.
He saw her as the true knight that she was, and that was the foundation on which their friendship was built.
He Is A Survivor
The man has been in Game Of Thrones from the first season to date, and that says something. The fact that he has survived proves he is quite essential to the storyline.
He Paid His Debt To Tyrion.
After Tyrion was arrested for Joffrey's death, Jaime was ready to be his champion and fight for him, but in the long run, he freed the Kingslayer, a night before his execution.
He finally paid his debt to his brother for the horse incidence which scared Tyrion for life.
He Almost Married A Crazy Woman
Lysa and Jaime betrothed, and it seemed like all will go well in the long run. If you recall, Lysa Tully is described as the crazy Lady of the Vale, who still breastfed her child although he was past the age.
She also died by Little fingers’ hands.
He Was A Sneaky Kingsguard
Jaime always found a way to be with his true love the Queen and his twin sister Cersei even though she was married to the king whom he swore loyalty to.
He Loved His Brother
The level of hate Cersei had for Tyrion was the same level of love Jamie had for him.
Tyrion was his little brother, and he loved him despite all the different odds.
Why Make Him A Kingsguard
Cersei wanted him by her side for her selfish, and she persuaded Jaime to take the white cloak so that they could together in King’s Landing.
By being a Kingsguard, he would never get married.
Cersei’s prophecy proclaimed that she would become queen and outlive her children which she did.
But they forgot to tell us the part where the prophecy mentioned that her little brother would choke her
He Is A Strong Man
Despite everything that happened to Jamie Lannister, losing his three kids which he shared with his sister, he pressed on.
