In Los Angeles last week three suspects were charged with the kidnapping of an actress and her companion from their home and then holding one of them naked in a bathtub for 30 hours as they demanded that the other pay them $10,000 as ransom.
Daisy McCrackin is an actress who has appeared in several films including the horror flick "Halloween: Resurrection(2002), 3000 Miles to Graceland(2001) and She Rises(2016).
The perpetrators were Keith Andre Stewart, Johntae Jones and Amber Neal who were all charged with kidnapping, assault with a firearm and other offenses in connection with the incident.
It wasn’t known whether the trio had attorneys who could comment on the allegations. The arrest of Amber Neal was however captured on video by a bystander and uploaded online on Twitter garnering 2.4million and counting views. It still isn’t clear when the other two were taken into custody.
How It Happened
According to the prosecutors the three went into actress Daisy McCrackin’s home in South Los Angeles on May 3 where Keith Andre Stewart pistol-whipped a man, Joseph Capone who happen to be present in the home. In addition to the firearm and kidnapping charges, Stewart was also charged with causing serious physical harm to Capone.
Held Naked In a Bathtub
Prosecutors further allege that afterward the three then placed bags over the actress and her companion and then drove several miles to Jones’ home in Compton. There the suspects forced Capone to strip naked and then held him in a bathtub for 30hours without food.
Drove Her To Various Banks
According to investigators, Jones and Neal took McCrackin’s car and drove her to various banks all the while demanding that the actress pay them $10,000 in order to secure Capone’s release. Eventually she was forced to write a $10,000 check to Neal. The next day They finally brought her back to her home and she managed to escape and call the police.
Could Face Life Imprisonment
As per the prosecutors, Jones and Neil were being held on $1million each and Stewart was being held on more than $2million bail. When convicted, they could each face life sentences for the crimes.
