When you first arrive at silicone valley everything might seem normal from the outward appearances. Run-down strip malls line the roads and people ride bikes. There are no throngs of paparazzi following overrated celebrities to dinner. But once you’ve been here for a while, you begin to notice that it does NOT in fact resemble where you came from, and that the differences go far deeper than a mountainous landscape.
However what makes the silicone valley different is that there are things that might seem strange to you but in reality they are very normal there. Those things are as follows:-
1. $150,000 cars parked in front of 1-bedroom apartments.
In Silicone Valley where you can rent a bunk be in a minuscule closet for the "low price" of thousands of dollars. So instead of seeing expensive vehicles winding in driveways of epic mansions, you will see them parked in from of these tiny apartments that require thousands of dollars of rent every month as rent. Actually most people who live in these apartments are quite wealthy so there is probably some cash left from buying the Porsche 911 Turbo packed in the driveway and the thousands spent on rent.
