With half of the year gone, so much has happened in terms of TV network and streaming giants’ productions. The quality shows have been consistent and there is something for everyone, from the compelling documentary series, classic favorites or simply great new shows that have taken viewers worldwide by storm.
A good production will of course get good ratings and will be the talk of both online and offline TV-loving circles. Great shows will automatically get raving reviews, the same goes for terrible shows, whose reviews will of course be brutally negative. The audience is appreciative but at the same time unforgiving when someone goofs in the production of a show.
Here are some of the TV shows that have rocked 2018 so far.
1. Queer eye
This show ran more than ten years ago, but then Queer Eye returned to television to take eight every day men and revamp their lives. With five new experts tackling the areas of food, grooming, design, fashion, and culture, the Bravo cult-series found new life and a new, rabid audience on Netflix (not long after the first eight episodes became available for streaming, the reboot was renewed for a second season). The show's two seasons follows the new Fab Five across Georgia as they makeover everyone from a pastor to a NASCAR enthusiast. Though the show has definitely adapted to a new generation and political climate, the core of the show remains the same. It is as entertaining as ever with great insights on the themes emphasized.
