Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 was released on April 19, 2017, and there are massive Easter Eggs therein. Of course, there are so several cool little nods to comics and pop culture in this movie that we're not even going to cover the major ones.
It took multiple screenings but we've combed the footage in this movie to bring you the goodies that Gunn and crew planted for the fans. If you have not seen the film yet, do not worry, as there are not too many major plot spoilers here. So, here are some eggs we did unearth!
1. Howard The Duck Returns
Guardians of the Galaxy stunned us all with the appearance of Howard the Duck, first in The Collector's collection, and later in the funny after-credits scene. As fun as that was, it was obvious from the beginning that Marvel Studios had no intentions for the character to show up in another solo outing - George Lucas directed the original back in 1986 - and most of us probably did not expect to actually ever see him again.
Well, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 changes that when we see the obscure comic book character sipping a drink on Contraxia. Once again voiced by Seth Green (Family Guy), he describes a prospective conquest that, "You are out of luck until you have got duck." That is it for him in the sequel, but it is now obvious Kevin Feige was not joking when he said he could show up anywhere at any time.
