Just as we thought the we’d never have another sequel of Mama Mia, almost four decades after they had risen to fame in the 1974 Eurovision song contest, Abba are once again taking the stairs to the top of the charts. The Film, Mama Mia! Here we go again is already heads high at the UK box offices in its first week of release.
Overcame Their Pride and Reunited.
Surprisingly, even the cast does not believe being here as they thought they would never be reunited again after their split three and a half decades ago. Abba is made of BjörnUlvaeus, Agnetha Fältskog, Anni-Frid Lyngstad and Benny Andersson. After Ulvaeus’ divorce from Fältskog and Lyngstad’s from Andersson, Ulvaeus had vowed never to unite the group again. Fortunately, they overcame their pride, with the Al idea helping them to defeat reservations about a comeback, and Abba is being reborn later this year, releasing two new songs as “Abbatars”. The songs include one pop song sounding like those in the 70s and one reflective one.
